Cherry Almond Cake๐Ÿ’egg free๐Ÿ’

A few days back my husband told me that I havenโ€™t baked any cake for quite some time. So yesterday I decided to bake this cake with whatever ingredients was available at home. Hubby loved it and kept asking what was it made of? Well it was just my regular egg free cake recipe. I just added maraschino cherries and sliced almonds in it. I wish I had more cherries to decorate its top๐Ÿ˜€

Ingredients
๐Ÿ‚ 1 cup whole wheat flour
๐Ÿ‚ 1 cup all purpose flour
๐Ÿ‚ 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
๐Ÿ‚ 1 tsp baking soda
๐Ÿ‚ a pinch of salt
๐Ÿ‚ 3/4 – 1 cup coconut sugar
๐Ÿ‚ 1/2 cup melted butter
๐Ÿ‚ 1/2 cup yogurt
๐Ÿ‚ 1 cup milk
๐Ÿ‚ 2 tbs vanilla extract
๐Ÿ‚ 1 cup maraschino cherries
๐Ÿ‚ 1/2 cup sliced almonds
๐Ÿ‚ 1 flax egg ( 1 tbs flax meal + 3 tbs water; refrigerate for 10-15 mins)

๐Ÿ’Instructions
๐Ÿ“ Preheat oven at 360 F. Grease a baking dish.
๐Ÿ“Mix dry ingredients, except sugar. Set aside.
๐Ÿ“Blend butter, sugar and flax egg together.
๐Ÿ“Add vanilla extract, yogurt, milk and blend.
๐Ÿ“Add half the dry ingredients and mix. Add another half and blend properly.
๐Ÿ“Stir in cherries and almonds.
๐Ÿ“Transfer batter into baking dish.
๐Ÿ“Bake for 60-70 mins.
