A few days back my husband told me that I haven’t baked any cake for quite some time. So yesterday I decided to bake this cake with whatever ingredients was available at home. Hubby loved it and kept asking what was it made of? Well it was just my regular egg free cake recipe. I just added maraschino cherries and sliced almonds in it. I wish I had more cherries to decorate its top😀

Ingredients
🍂 1 cup whole wheat flour
🍂 1 cup all purpose flour
🍂 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
🍂 1 tsp baking soda
🍂 a pinch of salt
🍂 3/4 – 1 cup coconut sugar
🍂 1/2 cup melted butter
🍂 1/2 cup yogurt
🍂 1 cup milk
🍂 2 tbs vanilla extract
🍂 1 cup maraschino cherries
🍂 1/2 cup sliced almonds
🍂 1 flax egg ( 1 tbs flax meal + 3 tbs water; refrigerate for 10-15 mins)

🍒Instructions
📍 Preheat oven at 360 F. Grease a baking dish.
📍Mix dry ingredients, except sugar. Set aside.
📍Blend butter, sugar and flax egg together.
📍Add vanilla extract, yogurt, milk and blend.
📍Add half the dry ingredients and mix. Add another half and blend properly.
📍Stir in cherries and almonds.
📍Transfer batter into baking dish.
📍Bake for 60-70 mins.
